Together we have decades of rental property management, facility management and building repair and maintenance experience. We are safety minded, detail oriented and technically inclined. We've managed On-Grid and Off-Grid properties: farms, condominiums, houses, yurts and apartment complexes. Emergency Preparedness trained and certified. Vaccinated and Boosted. Non-Smokers. Pescatarians. Minimalists. We are proud to say after dozens of housesits, we haven't lost a single Roomba in our care.
And, we love animals!
Experience with large and small Dogs, Cats, Chickens, Birds, Fish and Sheep. We have cared for several pets with special needs: allergies, seizures, arthritis, medicated, IBS, and anxiety. We are Pet CPR/First Aid Certified with the American Red Cross.
We both have remote work assignments that we can do anywhere with an internet connection. This flexibility allows for us to wander a bit when we aren't managing facilities for clients. Rachel publishes the newsletter The Real Rachel BS and her memoir Losing My Kidney and Finding My Voice: Confessions of a Living Donor will be published this year. having a constant change of scenery keeps her imagination alive. Mat is a technology consultant and supports a variety of clientele. From troubleshooting personal computer challenges to managing local area networks and cloud based services. When we aren't enjoying a coffee, taking a hike or working, we support communities impacted by natural disasters.
While many of our clients are located on the Big Island of Hawaii and the metropolitan region of Los Angeles, we do travel elsewhere. We are also available for house/landscaping/technical projects that can occur during a housesit. As Independent Contractors/Consultants, all client assignments remain confidential.
